o Print Bank Button – Click to print all Bank, Channel frequency, control attributes,
alphanumeric tags and Talkgroup data (if a Trunked Bank) for the selected Bank to the
default printer.
o Enh Copy Bank Button – Copies full or partial bank data from one bank to another
within the current data file or from one data file to another. Click to launch the Enhanced
Copy Bank Screen (See Below).
o *Clear* *Bank* Button – Click to initialize (clear) all frequencies, alphanumeric tags,
control attributes and Talkgroup IDs for the selected Bank in the ScanControl Memory
Area. NOTE: This function DOES NOT clear the data for the selected Bank in the
scanner’s radio memory. To do so you would click on “Clear Bank” and then click on
“Prog Chnls” to copy the initialized data to the scanner’s radio memory.
All Channels Section
o Load Chnls Button – Click to copy all Channels in the selected Bank from the scanner’s
radio memory to the ScanControl Memory Area. Any frequency and control attribute
information for each Channel in the ScanControl Memory Area will be overwritten by
the radio data. This button is disabled if no radio is connected.
o Clear Tags Checkbox (BCT8, BC95XLT, BC245XLT, BC895XLT, BC898T and
PRO2052 Only) – Since alphanumeric tags are only stored in the ScanControl Memory
Area and not in these radio’s memory you have the option of retaining the existing tags or
clearing them whenever you perform a Channel upload from the radio. Checking the box
will enable tag clearing, un-checking the box will disable tag clearing. The default is to
disable tag clearing. This button is disabled if no radio is connected.
o Prog Chnls Button – Click to copy all Channels in the selected Bank from the
ScanControl
Memory Area to the scanner’s radio memory. Any frequency and control
attribute information for each Channel in the radio will be overwritten by the new data.
This button is disabled if no radio is connected.
o Prog 0’s Checkbox – Checked enables the programming of 0 values. Unchecked
disables the programming of 0 values. The default for this control is checked. As
defaulted, when programming Frequencies into scanner memory ScanControl programs
any 0 Frequency value along with its alpha tags and other data attributes during the
programming process. If this box is unchecked then; 1) 0 values along with their alpha
tags and data attributes are skipped during the programming process and 2) empty banks
(all channels are 0000.0000) are skipped entirely. This saves time during the
programming process. A word of caution here … if you uncheck this box thereby
skipping 0 values then any Frequency value already stored in radio memory WILL NOT
be overwritten during the programming process.
Trunk Actions Section
o Edit Fleet Maps Button – Enabled if the Bank type is designated as Motorola Type I
(E1). Click to launch the Edit Fleet Maps Screen (See Below).
o Edit ScanLists Button – Enabled if the Bank type is designated as a Trunked Bank.
Click to launch the Edit ScanLists Screen (See Below).
Edit Rows Section
o Edit: Ins INSERT - Inserts an empty channel row in the current location and moves all
subsequent rows down the list within the current bank. The cursor must be in the
Channel Tag field for this function to operate.
