o To Button - Selects direction of data flow when All Channels and All Talkgroups
buttons are clicked. TO programs data to radio.
o All Channels Button – Click to copy all Banks, all Channels to / from the ScanControl
Memory Area. This button is disabled if no radio is connected. NOTE: This function
does not include programming Search Ranges into the BC898T, BC780XLT, BC250D,
BC296D, BC785D or BC796D. To program these values use the Edit Search Ranges
screen (see below).
o All TalkGrps Button – Click to copy all Trunked Bank ScanList Talkgroup IDs and
Fleet Map configurations to / from the ScanControl Memory Area. NOTE: This
function can only be performed AFTER the Channel frequencies have been
programmed by the “Program All Chnls” step described above. For the BC245XLT,
BC895XLT and PRO2052 this function will only be successful if the radio is receiving
the Control Channel for the Trunked Bank being programmed. This button is
disabled if no radio is connected.
OPERATING TIP: If you are not within receiving range of the Control Channel you can
enter the frequency of a local, known good Control Channel for a similar radio system into
the bank, program the channels for the Bank and then program the Talkgroups for the
Bank. This “fools” the radio into thinking it has a Control Channel while you are
programming the Talkgroups. Once the Talkgroups are programmed into the Radio you
can Lockout the “Dummy” Control Channel in the Bank.
o Clear Tags Checkbox (BC95XLT, BC245XLT, BC895XLT, BC898T, BCT8 &
PRO2052 Only) – Since alphanumeric tags are only stored in the ScanControl Memory
Area and not in these radios’ memory you have the option of retaining the existing tags or
clearing them whenever you perform a Channel or Talkgroup ID upload from the radio.
Checking the box will enable tag clearing, un-checking the box will disable tag clearing.
The default is to disable tag clearing. This checkbox is disabled if no radio is connected.
o Prog 0’s Checkbox – Checked enables the programming of 0 values. Unchecked
disables the programming of 0 values. The default for this control is checked. As
defaulted, when programming all Frequencies and TalkGroup IDs into scanner memory
ScanControl programs any 0 Frequency or Talkgroup ID values along with their alpha
tags and other data attributes during the programming process. If this box is unchecked
then; 1) 0 values along with their alpha tags and data attributes are skipped during the
programming process and 2) empty banks (all frequencies are 0000.0000) are skipped
entirely. This saves time during the programming process. A word of caution here … if
you uncheck this box thereby skipping 0 values in memory then any Frequency or
Talkgroup ID values already stored in radio memory WILL NOT be overwritten during
the programming process.
