Next, we have the Wireless PTT (March 2012 firmware R01.01.01 download from MOL) .

This provides a fast and flexible way to wirelessly connect with any of our earpieces. The PTT is small

enough to fit easily in the hand or pocket, but can also be clipped to a lapel for easy access. There is a

large PTT button for easy operation and volume controls to adjust the headset audio level.

Whilst in use, the PTT provides audible and visual indications to let you know the status of the Bluetooth

link and the battery. The LED on the back will tell you when the battery is getting low or critical and the

prominent blue LED signals that your earpiece is pairing or connected.

Another special feature of the Motorola wireless PTT is fast response time. Unlike some competitor’s

products where there can be a noticeable delay between pressing the button and the radio keying up, the

Motorola device has less than 25ms PTT latency to help ensure no audio loss.

Volume change is achieved when you press the Up / Down volume buttons on the Wireless earpiece, the

SL4000’s volume will track your commands and a visual indication is displayed on the radio.

When paired with the SL4000 series, the wireless PTT can key up the radio and activate the SL4000’s

internal microphone (no audio accessory connected) – allowing new ways to us the radio!

Of course battery life is important and the wireless PTT is designed to last a full shift – typically lasting for

12 hours between charges – and a micro USB charger is provided for easy recharging.
