RFID Data Transmission Format

Parameter # F1h 83h

This parameter controls the format of the tag's EPC data sent after reading a new tag.

•

Raw - the EPC buffer transmits as a hexadecimal string. This format can include the protocol control bytes.

•

GS1-128 - for GS1 encoded tags, this option converts EPC data to a GS1-128 bar code (as per the

EPCglobal Tag Data Standards Version 1.4 available at

http://www.epcglobalinc.org/standards/tds/tds_1_4-standard-20080611.pdf). Otherwise, the tag optionally

transmits in raw format or is ignored.

•

EPC URI - the EPC data is represented as a Universal Resource Identifier (URI) as defined in the EPCglobal

Tag Data Standards Version 1.4.
