16 Using the phone

3. Using the phone

3.1 To switch handset on/off

Press and hold O until the handset switches off.

Press O to switch the handset back on.

3.2 To make a call

Press N.

Dial the telephone number.

3.3 To make a call by pre-dialling

Enter the phone number (maximum 32 digits). If you

make a mistake, press

Clear

Press N to dial the phone number entered.

NOTE

If the dialled number matches an entry in the phonebook, the

name is displayed.

3.4 To make a call using fast call keys

Press . or / to dial the pre-stored number directly.

If no number is stored, you will hear a beep.

NOTE

To assign a fast call number, see page 23.

3.5 To make a handsfree call

Press N twice.

Dial the telephone number.

TIP

During a handsfree call, press

U or D to adjust the volume.

3.6 Call from the phonebook

Press D. The first entry in the phonebook is

highlighted.

Scroll U or D to the entry you want.

To search alphabetically, press the key with the first

letter of the name, e.g. if the name begins with N, press

6 twice. The display shows the first entry beginning

with N. If required, scroll

U or D to the exact entry.

Press N to dial the number.

3.7 Call from the calls list

NOTE

You need to subscribe to your network’s Call Display service

to be able to see the caller’s number in the calls list.
